Peyton Haack 2nd Place Men's Heptathlon - Arkansas Razorback Indoor Invitational 2023

Iowa junior Peyton Haack placed second overall in the men's heptathlon with a lifetime-best 6,007 points, trailing only American professional athlete and former Hawkeyes competitor Will Daniels at 6,018 points at the Razorback Indoor Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Haack ran 2:49.83 in the 1,000 meters and nearly overcame a 110-point deficit in the final two events, including winning the pole vault with a 16-4.75 (5.00m) clearance. It marked the first indoor heptathlon Haack completed since 2021, improving on his previous-best mark by more than 250 points. More videos |
