Julien Alfred, a sophomore at Texas representing Saint Lucia, won the women's 100-meter dash title in 11.02 seconds and contributed to the victorious 4x100-meter relay in 42.42 seconds at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Alfred became the first Texas female athlete since Alexandria Anderson in 2009 to capture the 100-meter crown and led the Longhorns to their first 4x100 championship since 2006, helping Texas place second overall with 64 points.
